Are the appointments telehealth or face-to-face?

I offer both options. Contact me to a book face-to-face session. Telehealth sessions are most suited to people in remote areas who cannot travel.

What’s involved in the initial assessment?

The initial assessment costs $90 and takes approximately 40 minutes. This is where I get to know you, asking detailed questions about your health and medical history. We’ll set short and medium-term goals, and I can usually get you started on a personalised treatment plan immediately.

Do I have to have follow-up sessions?

Follow-up appointments are strongly encouraged. They cost between $50-$70 and take approximately 10-20 minutes. My clients say these sessions help keep them accountable and motivated. It is also an opportunity for us to review your goals, track how your medication is working and do any fine-tuning to your program so you can get the results you desire.

Who are your services suitable for?

I can help anyone 18 years or over with a BMI of 27 or above. Generally, the patients I work with have been struggling to get their weight consistently under control for many years. They may be considering gastric band or sleeve surgery or have had unsuccessful results with these methods.

I’ve tried every way possible to lose weight, and nothing has worked. Can you still help me?

YES. Losing weight and sustaining weight loss is possible even when you feel like you’ve tried everything. Your best way to lose weight differs from someone else’s, and that’s where I can help. We approach your weight-loss goals from all angles and use various tools and solutions, including medications.

Can I claim rebates from Medicare or my Private Health Fund?

Private health funds vary and you will need to talk directly with your health fund to find out if you are covered.

Services attract a medicare rebate or:

  • $54.60 rebate for the Initial Consultation
  • $37.00 rebate for the 20-minute follow-up consultation
  • $19.55 rebate for the 10-minute follow-up consulation

You will need to pay upfront for your appointment, and then the receipt issued by My Life Clinic will contain the information required to claim the appropriate rebate.
